Disodium Hydrogen Phosphate or Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic

Molecular Formula: Na2HPO4
Sodium Phosphate, Dibasic, occurs as a white, crystalline powder or as granules. It may be anhydrous or contain two molecules of water of hydration. The anhydrous form is hygroscopic. Both forms are freely soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol.

Function:

  • Used as boiler water softening agent, the flame retardant and waterproof agent for woods, papers and textiles, dyes auxiliaries, treating agent in electroplating industry, glaze, flux, and the production of purgative prescription.
  • The Food grade is used as additive and to produce baking powder, etc.

Sodium Phosphate, Monobasic, is anhydrous or contains one or two molecules of water of hydration and is slightly hygroscopic. The anhydrous form occurs as a white, crystalline powder or granules. The hydrated forms occur as white or transparent crystals or granules. All forms are freely soluble in water, but are insoluble in alcohol.

Function:


  • Applied in boiler water treatment and electroplating. Used as the raw material for preparing colon and polyphosphate sodium. Applied in cleaning, acidity buffering agent, dye auxiliaries, bonding of mica, baking powder, chemical industry, emulsifying agent, etc.

Molecular Formula: Na3HPO4. XH2O (X=0~12)
White or colorless crystals, efflorescent in air, easily soluble in water but not in organic solution.

Function:


  • Used in food additive and pharmaceutical health care products.
  • Used as a water softening agent, cleaning agent in electroplating, color fixer in fabric dyeing and flux in enamel ware manufacturing.
